Thessaloniki was for centuries a multicultural and multi-religious town. Over the last decades this situation tends to reappear. The design of a common temple for the 3 Judaic religions in Thessaloniki would help its citizens who belong in different
religions, to come closer. The design of a common temple for people of different religions is innovative in the field of architecture. The existence of some temples that have been used consecutively by the three different religions as place of worship reinforces the view that these religions can coexist in the same spiritual place.

The study of the historical development of the temples (churches, mosques, synagogues) will contribute to the design of a temple that contains the just mentioned above feature. Modern examples of temples will influence the final design. Some visits in temples in the city of Thessaloniki will help me to design a temple that respects some of the similar features of the three religions. Projects by contemporary architects and designers, and a critical analysis of their works will influence me to make a project that follows the contemporary architectural movements.

The temple's plan connects the natural elements of earth, water and grass that play significant role in the 3 religions.  The different entrances that are turned in the different Holy Places of each religion respect each believer and lead them to a united place that put away religious differences. The temple’'s plan shows a symmetric building. The symmetry follows the axis south-north. Each entrance of the temple will be decorated with patterns that are being used in the architectural style of each religion, such as to respect the difference of the believers.
